Garden Galleries

When we first moved in the garden was completely overgrown, so we have had to concentrate on taking self-seeded trees and undergrowth out, replacing them with grass.

Many of the trees in the garden flower in the spring, but most of the other colour is currently provided by flowers in tubs and urns and a small herbaceous border. However, we have cleared some scrub in the centre of the garden and have laid out a new bed for next year.

At the bottom of the garden we have set up a reasonably-sized vegetable patch, growing mainly beans and potatoes.

Dahlias
There are some early spring flowers in the April 2010 Gallery, followed by swathes of bluebells in the May 2010 Gallery.
Sweet Williams make an appearance in the June 2010 Gallery, and these are followed by other herbaceous flowers in the July 2010 Gallery.
Autumn seemed to come and go very quickly, and was suddenly replaced by Winter when we had some unexpected snow. The first blanket of snow eventually melted, only to be followed by a deeper snowfall as seen in the December 2010 Gallery.
