Bluebell View
A view looking down the garden, with bluebells much in evidence.
We let the bluebells go to seed, and they spread themselves very efficiently: two years ago, this area was just newly sown grass.
Magnolia
This is the smaller of the two magnolias in the garden.
Although less showy than its white cousin, this purple-flowering magnolia is still very pretty. It starts to flower just as the larger magnolia finishes.
Flowering Shrub
There are two of these flowering shrubs in the garden, giving an amazing fragrance at this time of year.
Unfortunately, we don't know what the shrub is called so if you have any ideas, please let us know. The flowers look like honeysuckle as they develop, but the plant certainly doesn't behave like honeysuckle.
